Olena Hodenko-Nakonechna - PhD (History of Art), Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy of Dnipro University of Technology, culturologist, art critic. Research interests: history of art, culturology, theory and history of fine arts.
Education: Kyiv State Art Institute (now the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture), Faculty of Theory and History of Art, specialty - "Art History". Applicant for the degree of 26.00.01 "Theory and History of Culture" at the Institute of Art History, Folklore and Ethnology named after M. T. Rylsky NAS of Ukraine (PhD dissertation in 2017 "Trypillya Ornamentation: Typology,Interpretation, Semantic, Artistic and Functional Features"). Working at the department since 2017. Teaches disciplines: "General History of Art", "Visual Art of Modernism and Postmodernism" (for bachelors of specialties 034 - Culturology, 033 - Philosophy); "History of Ukrainian Culture", "History of Decorative and Applied Arts and Urban Planning", "Modern Theories of Culture", "Ukrainian Fine Arts", "Legislation in the Field of Culture" (for bachelors of specialties 034 - Culturology); "World and Ukrainian Culture", "Value Competencies of a Specialist" (for bachelors of different specialties). Author of 2 collective monographs, more than 90 scientific and professional publications, a number of educational and methodical works, more than 20 scientific and artistic publications (albums, exhibition catalogs), more than 20 personal articles in the "Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine" of the NAS of Ukraine. Participated in more than 30 international, national and regional scientific conferences and seminars on culture and art; developed a number of author's courses of lectures-presentations on the visual art of modernism and postmodernism (implementation in the galleries "I Gallery" and "Artsvit", 2011-2020). Laureate of the city award named after M. Panin in the nomination "Art History and Pedagogical Activity" (2014), chairman of the jury of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competitions-defense of research works of students - members of the Small Academy of Sciences (section "Art History and Folklore"), founder of "Pan-Ukrainian Gallery".
